Stay tuned for Updates......

Members and Friends of JCRAC (updated May 21, 2020),

It should comes as no surprise that due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the restrictions for large group meetings, the Overland Park Christian Church has informed us that the church will not be available until at least the end of June. This will mean that the following Friday evening meetings will be taking place via Zoom Meeting:

May 22

June 12

June 26 - This meeting would normaly be at our Field Day site.  ***Stay tuned for more information***

We are targeting having in person meeting at the Overland Park Christian Church starting on July 10th.  This is not set in stone so pleas check back for further information.

We are open to ideas for programs and meetings during this period.

Bill Gery, KA2FNK --  President JCRAC

President's Corner

May 2020

The Virtual breakfast club net have been really fun and successful. Thanks especially to Ray Ehrlichman, KØRSE, and Herb Fiddick, NZØF. This net has been a great way to keep in touch.

A special "thank you" goes to thanks to Tom Wheeler, NØGSG, for scheduling and managing the Club zoom meetings. As with the virtual breakfast net this has proven to be an excellent way to keep in touch during this time of isolation. You can join the fun at 9:00 am on weekdays. Monday, Wednesday and Friday meetings convene on the 145.20 repeater.

Tuesdays and Thursday happen in the Kansas City room on the Fusion repeater.

A special feature of the on-line meeting is that Keith and Barb have been able to join. I do, however, look forward to when we will be able to convene an annex meeting at the Pizza Shoppe.

New Website For Fusion

For anyone interested in Fusion and the Wires-X Kansas City Room, there is a new website.
This website is for information about the Kansas City Room, its repeaters and other interesting and useful information about our local room.
Note:  If you try to access it and get a not found error or a server not found error try again later. I am hosting it on a free hosting site and the paying users get priority over us free users. As in everything else you get what you pay for.
Also it is not optimized for your iphone or android. If you view it on your phone it will appear a bit disjointed but don't worry, everything is there.
