It's Time to Volunteer at the Ensor Park and Museum

October 2019

Your job as a volunteer is simple!  Greet people as they arrive at the museum.  If Larry Woodworth, W0HXS -Ensor Park and Museum Manager is busy giving a tour you will watch over them until Larry is available to start another tour.  The idea is to have 3 people staffing the museum (including Larry) so as to ensure the museum is not left unattended and Larry is not alone.

If you are new to the JCRAC and/or Ensor Park and Museum, No Problem.  If you like you can stop by Ensor and see what's going on before you volunteer.

There is plenty of ham radio history at the museum and if things are slow you can walk around and take in that history.  You are also welcome to use the equipment in the radio room off the country kitchen!

President's Corner

October 2019

October is here, and it is time for the Ensor auction (October 26). This year the Ensor activities will start Friday evening October 25 with Club meeting, followed by a camp fire and camp out. Saturday morning bring your items to donate or for consignment.  Setup for the auction will start about 8 am Saturday. With the auction starting at 11 am.  Food will be available Saturday before and during the auction for you to purchase.

Search your shack for those items that you thought you needed, but have not left the shelf.  You know the items and we have a solution.

October is also the mouth the we provide volunteers for Ensor. Please sign up for one or more of the weekend slots.  Each time you volunteer your name is submitted for a $50 gift certificate at Associate Radio.

Please note that the second club meeting (October 25) will be at the Ensor farm.

New Website For Fusion

For anyone interested in Fusion and the Wires-X Kansas City Room, there is a new website.
This website is for information about the Kansas City Room, its repeaters and other interesting and useful information about our local room.
Note:  If you try to access it and get a not found error or a server not found error try again later. I am hosting it on a free hosting site and the paying users get priority over us free users. As in everything else you get what you pay for.
Also it is not optimized for your iphone or android. If you view it on your phone it will appear a bit disjointed but don't worry, everything is there.
